GCB Bioenergy

ISSN: 1757-1693eISSN: 1757-1707
DOAJ Logo

First to know the nature of bioenergy GCB Bioenergy exists to promote understanding of the interface between biological sciences and the production of fuels directly from plants, algae and waste. All aspects of current and potential biofuel production, from forestry, crop production, enzymatic deconstruction and microbial fuel synthesis to implications for biodiversity, ecosystem services, economics, policy and global change will be included. Articles from outside this area of interest to a biology readership are policy forum (covering legislative developments affecting biofuels), socioeconomic analyses (examining the economic viability or social acceptability of crops, crops systems and their processing, including genetically modified organisms [GMOs]), and systems analysis (examining biological developments in a whole systems context). Comparative studies of biomass projects and their mitigating effects will be important to the journal, as will plant/microbe interactions (i.e. maximizing yield while reducing/limiting nitrogen input) and genome research.

Geophysical Research Letters

ISSN: 0094-8276eISSN: 1944-8007
Publisher: Wiley Open Access | Society or Institution: American Geophysical Union

About Geophysical Research Letters (GRL)GRL is a Letters journal; limiting manuscript size expedites the review and publication process. GRL also publishes a limited number of frontier articles, by invitation from Editors. GRL's mission is to disseminate concisely-written, high-impact research reports on major scientific advances in AGU disciplines [PDF]. With this goal, the Editorial Board evaluates manuscripts submitted to GRL according to the following criteria: High impact innovative results with broad geophysical implications at the forefront of one or several AGU disciplines. Results with immediate impact on the research of others and requiring rapid publication. Instrument or methods manuscript introducing an innovative technique that makes new science advance possible, with immediate applications to AGU disciplines.GRL has been in publication since 1974. The Editors are adapting GRL to the evolving needs of the Earth science community. GRL Editors are topical: the subject of the paper determines which Editor handles the review and decision process. For more information, please read these EOS Editorials.Covers (1997–present) and mast heads (inside front cover of print journal) (2002–present) are available.

Immunity, Inflammation and Disease is a peer-reviewed, open access, interdisciplinary journal providing rapid publication of research across the broad field of immunology. Immunity, Inflammation and Disease gives rapid consideration to papers in all areas of clinical and basic research. The journal is indexed in Medline and welcomes original work that enhances the understanding of immunology in areas including:

• cellular and molecular immunology
• clinical immunology
• allergy
• immunochemistry
• immunogenetics
• immune signalling
• immune development
• imaging
• mathematical modelling
• autoimmunity
• transplantation immunology
• cancer immunology

Original research articles, methods papers, editorials and commentaries are published. Original research papers must report well-conducted research with conclusions supported by the data presented in the paper. Immunity, Inflammation and Disease considers for publication both papers submitted directly to the journal and those referred from a select group of prestigious journals published by Wiley-Blackwell. List available here.

In order for research to advance, negative results, which often make a valuable contribution to the field, should be published. However, articles containing negative or null results are frequently not considered for publication or rejected by journals. We welcome papers of this kind, where appropriate and valid power calculations are included that give confidence that a negative result can be relied upon.
