Fire and Materials is an international journal for scientific and technological communications directed at the fire properties of materials and the products into which they are made. This covers all aspects of the polymer field and the end uses where polymers find application; the important developments in the fields of natural products - wood and cellulosics; non-polymeric materials - metals and ceramics; as well as the chemistry and industrial applications of fire retardant chemicals. Contributions will be particularly welcomed on heat release; properties of combustion products - smoke opacity, toxicity and corrosivity; modelling and testing.

Fish and Fisheries adopts a broad, interdisciplinary approach to the subject of fish biology and fisheries. It draws contributions in the form of major synoptic papers and syntheses or meta-analyses that lay out new approaches, re-examine existing findings, methods or theory, and discuss papers and commentaries from diverse areas. Focal areas include fish palaeontology, molecular biology and ecology, genetics, biochemistry, physiology, ecology, behaviour, evolutionary studies, conservation, assessment, population dynamics, mathematical modelling, ecosystem analysis and the social, economic and policy aspects of fisheries where they are grounded in a scientific approach. A paper in Fish and Fisheries must draw upon all key elements of the existing literature on a topic, normally have a broad geographic and/or taxonomic scope, and provide general points which make it compelling to a wide range of readers whatever their geographical location. So, in short, we aim to publish articles that make syntheses of old or synoptic, long-term or spatially widespread data, introduce or consolidate fresh concepts or theory, or, in the Ghoti section, briefly justify preliminary, new synoptic ideas. Please note that authors of submissions not meeting this mandate will be directed to the appropriate primary literature.

The overall aim is to produce a journal of the highest quality which provides a forum for the exchange of a wide variety of information on all aspects of flavours, fragrances and related materials, and which is valued by readers and contributors alike.

Foreign Language Annals (FLA) is the official journal of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). The first volume of FLA was published in 1967. FLA is a refereed journal published four times per year. There are approximately 10 articles per issue.Dedicated to the advancement of language teaching and learning, the journal seeks to serve the professional interests of classroom instructors, researchers, and administrators concerned with the learning and teaching of languages at all levels of instruction. The journal welcomes submissions of the highest quality that report empirical or theoretical research on language learning or teaching, that describe innovative and successful practice and methods, and/or that are relevant to the concerns and issues of the profession. All submissions must be written in English and must be previously unpublished.FLA focuses primarily on language education for languages other than English. The journal welcomes manuscripts on a wide variety of topics including cross-disciplinary submissions that provide clear implications for teaching, learning, and/or research in the language field. This peer reviewed, highly specialized journal covers forest pathological problems occurring in any part of the world. Research and review articles, short communications and book reviews are addressed to the professional, working with forest tree diseases caused by fungi, bacteria, nematodes, viruses, and phytoplasms; their biology, morphology, and pathology; disorders arising from genetic anomalies and physical or chemical factors in the environment. The Journal publishes STANDARD RESEARCH PAPERS on all aspects of the ecology of inland waters, including rivers and lakes, connected ground waters, flood plains and other wetlands. We accept studies of micro-organisms, algae, macrophytes, invertebrates, fish and other vertebrates, as well as those concerning whole ecosystems and related physical and chemical aspects of the environment. Studies may focus at any level in the ecological hierarchy from physiological ecology and animal behaviour, through population dynamics and evolutionary genetics, to community interactions and ecosystem functioning. They may also be at any scale, from microhabitat to landscape or biogeography.
