As a result of recent advances in MEMS/NEMS and systems biology, as well as the emergence of synthetic bacteria and lab/process-on-a-chip techniques, it is now possible to design chemical “circuits”, custom organisms, micro/nanoscale swarms of devices, and a host of other new systems. This success opens up a new frontier for interdisciplinary communications techniques using chemistry, biology, and other principles that have not been considered in the communications literature. The IEEE Transactions on Molecular, Biological, and Multi-Scale Communications (T-MBMSC) is devoted to the principles, design, and analysis of communication systems that use physics beyond classical electromagnetism. This includes molecular, quantum, and other physical, chemical and biological techniques; as well as new communication techniques at small scales or across multiple scales (e.g., nano to micro to macro; note that strictly nanoscale systems, 1-100 nm, are outside the scope of this journal). Original research articles on one or more of the following topics are within scope: mathematical modeling, information/communication and network theoretic analysis, standardization and industrial applications, and analytical or experimental studies on communication processes or networks in biology. Contributions on related topics may also be considered for publication. Contributions from researchers outside the IEEE’s typical audience are encouraged.
The IEEE Transactions on NanoBioscience reports on original, innovative, and interdisciplinary research, both fundamental and applied, focusing on nano- to micro-scale biological systems. The journal invites contributions describing advances in bio-science, -technology, and -engineering, from biomolecular to multi-cellular domains, concerning their physics (e.g., mechanics, materials, electromagnetism); their chemistry (e.g., DNA, proteins, biochemical pathways); or their information storage and processing (e.g., biological signals, algorithms, and computation).

Indian Chemical Engineer (ICE) is published in two Sections A and B. Section A is an international forum for the presentation of original research, interpretative reviews and discussion on new developments in all areas of chemical engineering and allied fields. It contains papers describing novel theory and practical applications as well as reports of experimental work 8211; carefully executed and soundly interpreted. Section B contains impartial, generic papers or an overview of a technology 8211; intended to provide guidance to practicing chemical engineers. It showcases papers focusing on general chemical engineering problem(s)/situation(s) and generic methods of solving such problem(s)/situation(s). Some of the appropriate subjects for papers are: design of equipment options; troubleshooting a process unit; assessing likely impact of emerging technology; reviewing key trends and challenges in engineering research and development; and continuing education. ICE will be very useful to professionals, academics, researchers and students in the domain of Chemical Engineering and allied areas as well as industries, research centres and educational institutes in chemical engineering and related fields.
Started in 1976, this journal publishes papers on both fundamental and applied research in various branches of textile technology and allied areas such as Production and properties of natural and synthetic fibres (including industrial fibres), yarns and fabrics; Physics and chemistry of fibre forming polymers; Chemical and finishing processes; Fibre-reinforced composites; Garment technology; Analysis, testing and quality control; Application of microprocessors; Instrumentation; application of nanotechnology in textiles; and Industrial engineering.
Industrial Chemistry & Materials (ICM) publishes significant innovative research and major technological breakthroughs in all aspects of industrial chemistry and materials.
Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers welcomes research articles and review-type articles from all areas of inorganic chemistry. Emphases are placed on interdisciplinary studies where inorganic chemistry meets related areas, such as catalysis, biochemistry, nanoscience, energy, and materials science. Significant advances in inorganic chemistry and proved applications in other disciplines are essential. Together with Organic Chemistry Frontiers and Materials Chemistry Frontiers, this suite of journals offers an authoritative portfolio that is jointly owned by the Chinese Chemical Society, the Royal Society of Chemistry, and partner institutions.
Inorganic Materials (Neorganicheskie Materialy) was established in 1965; the journal contains reviews, original papers, and news about chemistry, physics, and applications of various inorganic materials including high-purity substances and materials. The journal discusses phase equilibria, including P–T–X diagrams, and the fundamentals of inorganic materials science, which determines preparatory conditions for compounds of various compositions with specified deviations from stoichiometry. Inorganic Materials is a multidisciplinary journal covering all classes of inorganic materials.
Emphasis is on modern instrumental concepts, though not exclusively, including detectors, sensors, data acquisition and processing, instrument control, chromatography, electrochemistry, spectroscopy of all types, electrophoresis, radiometry, relaxation methods, thermal analysis, physical property measurements, surface physics, membrane technology, microcomputer design, chip-based processes, and more. Readership includes everyone who uses instrumental techniques to conduct their research and development. They are chemists (organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, nuclear, quality control) biochemists, biotechnologists, engineers, and physicists in all of the instrumental disciplines mentioned above, in both the laboratory and chemical production environments. The journal is an important resource of instrument design and applications data. The Institute of Scientific Information Journal Citations Report for 2003 ranks Instrumentation Science and Technology 53rd out of 67 journals in Chemistry-Analytical (Science) and 23rd out of 49 journals in Instruments and Instrumentation (Science), with an impact factor of 0.714. Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
Each issue of Interface Focus is devoted to a specific topic at the interface of the physical and life sciences. This area will define a research frontier that is advancing rapidly and will, by its very nature, bridge traditional disciplines. The journal is essential reading for scientists working across the physical / life sciences divide. Topics covered by the journal include, but are not limited to: biocomplexity, biocomputation, bioengineering, bioinformatics, biomaterials, biomechanics, bionanoscience, biophysics, chemical biology, medical physics, synthetic biology, systems biology, theoretical biology, tissue engineering.
International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer serves as a world forum for the rapid dissemination of new ideas, new measurement techniques, preliminary findings of ongoing investigations, discussions, and criticisms in the field of heat and mass transfer. Two types of manuscript will be considered for publication: communications (short reports of new work or discussions of work which has already been published) and summaries (abstracts of reports, theses or manuscripts which are too long for publication in full). Together with its companion publication, International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, with which it shares the same Board of Editors, this journal is read by research workers and engineers throughout the world.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more.
