RSC Medicinal Chemistry

eISSN: 2632-8682

RSC Medicinal Chemistry publishes significant research in medicinal chemistry and related drug discovery science. Research articles published in RSC Medicinal Chemistry must show a breakthrough or significant advance on previously published work, or bring new thinking or results that will have a strong impact in their field. Topics within the journal's scope include, but are not limited to: design, synthesis and biological evaluation of novel chemical entities or biotherapeutic modalities; modifications of known chemical entities or biotherapeutic modalities that result in a significantly greater understanding of their structure-activity relationships, an improvement of their properties or provide other information of significant value; novel methodologies and technologies in the broader chemical and biological sciences; computational, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) studies are welcome where they significantly advance medicinal chemistry knowledge; studies that examine the effect of the molecular structure of a compound on pharmacokinetic behaviour and pharmacodynamics; studies that present new insights into drug design based on analysis of existing experimental datasets or new theoretical approaches if supported by experimental evidence; studies presenting new drug delivery systems with novel chemical agents are welcomed, in particular those that involve chemical modification of the delivery system of conjugation with novel delivery vectors.

Reviews in Environmental Science and Bio/Technology

ISSN: 1569-1705eISSN: 1572-9826

The areas of environmental science and environmental (bio)technology are broad, multidisciplinary, fast growing and extremely active. The last twenty years have seen an overwhelming accumulation of data, and a panoply of important discoveries. It is almost impossible to keep up to date on current developments in these areas, let alone judge their long-term significance. The purpose of Reviews in Environmental Science and Bio/Technology is twofold: to keep the reader up-to-date on achieved advances in the multidisciplinary and rapidly expanding fields of environmental science and biotechnology, and to offer perspectives on where these developments will lead. The journal comprises of two distinct peer-reviewed sections: one offering Mini-Reviews expressing scientific opinions on topics and trends, and another presenting comprehensive critical evaluations (Reviews) of research efforts and technical realizations in particular areas. In addition to these two sections, the journal will publish research and policy-o

Systematic and Applied Microbiology

ISSN: 0723-2020

Systematic and Applied Microbiology deals with various aspects of microbialdiversity and systematics of prokaryotes. It focuses on Bacteria and Archaea; eukaryotic microorganisms will only be considered in rare cases. The journal perceives a broad understanding of microbial diversity and encourages the submission of manuscripts from the following branches of microbiology: Systematics: Theoretical and practical issues dealing with classification and taxonomy, i.e. (i) new descriptions or revisions of prokaryotic taxa, including descriptions of not-yet cultured taxa in the category Candidatus (ii) innovative methods for the determination of taxonomical and genealogical relationships, (iii) evaluation of intra-taxon diversity through multidisciplinary approaches, (iv) identification methods. Applied Microbiology: all aspects of agricultural, industrial, and food microbiology are welcome, including water and wastewater treatment. Comparative biochemistry and genomics: studies concerning biochemical/metabolic and genomic diversity of cultured as well as yet-uncultured Bacteria and Archaea. Ecology: descriptions of the microbial diversity in natural and man-made ecosystem; studies quantifying the size, dynamics, and function of microbial populations; innovative research on the interaction of micro-organisms with each other and their biotic and abiotic environment.
