Acta Parasitologica publishes reports on new investigations in all areas of basic and applied parasitology. It encourages the submission of articles on studies describing most recent findings in the field of immunology, molecular biology, systematics and phylogeny of parasites.Acta Parasitologica was founded in 1953 by the Polish Parasitological Society, and since 1992 it is published by the W. Stefanski Institute of Parasitology in Warsaw, Poland.The journal publishes articles and short communications of interest to a broad range of life sciences researchers beyond the immediate field, as well as book reviews and invited review articles on recent advances of interest to its audience. The Editor-in-chief is Anna Puciłowska, Institute of Parasitology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland.

Emerging Microbes & Infections (EMI) is a new open access, fully peer-reviewed international journal. The purpose of EMI is to provide a forum to publish a wide range of scientific reports related to emerging infectious diseases, especially with new information from developing countries where such diseases are constantly arising and being discovered regularly. It will report discoveries of emerging microbes (bacteria, viruses, fungi and other pathogens) including their previously unknown phenotypic or genotypic characteristics, as well as cutting edge information associated with microbial mechanisms of pathogenesis, immune evasion and protection, clinical presentation and outcome, drug efficacy and its resistance, epidemiology and other issues important to global health.

Epidemics publishes papers on infectious disease dynamics in the broadest sense. Its scope covers both within-host dynamics of infectious agents and dynamics at the population level, particularly the interaction between the two. Areas of emphasis include: spread, transmission, persistence, implications and population dynamics of infectious diseases; population and public health as well as policy aspects of control and prevention; dynamics at the individual level; interaction with the environment, ecology and evolution of infectious diseases, as well as population genetics of infectious agents.The journal will only publish papers that use high quality novel or published data in their analysis. Successful manuscripts are typically multidisciplinary and integrative. The relevant parasites include protozoa, nematodes, cestodes and trematodes which are transmitted by food or water and capable of infecting humans. Pertinent food includes products of animal or plant origin which are domestic or wild, and consumed by humans. Animals and plants from both terrestrial and aquatic sources are included, as well as studies related to potable and other types of water which serve to harbor, perpetuate or disseminate food and waterborne parasites.

Studies dealing with prevalence, transmission, epidemiology, risk assessment and mitigation, including control measures and test methodologies for parasites in food and water are of particular interest.

Evidence of the emergence of such parasites and interactions among domestic animals, wildlife and humans are of interest. The impact of parasites on the health and welfare of humans is viewed as very important and within scope of the journal. Manuscripts with scientifically generated information on associations between food and waterborne parasitic diseases and lifestyle, culture and economies are also welcome. Studies involving animal experiments must meet the International Guiding Principles for Biomedical Research Involving Animals as issued by the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences.

The primary form of publication in the journal is a full-length paper describing scientifically-sound original research studies. Less than full-length publications include Brief Communications of original research findings, and Investigative Reports describing studies of unique single cases or widespread outbreaks. Review articles on specific high profile topics, emerging or strategic issues may be solicited for publication, but requests for such submissions may also be made. Topical review articles based on keynote presentations at conferences or workshops will be considered.

The official journal of The International Society for Genomic and Evolutionary Microbiology (ISOGEM). Gut Pathogens encompasses all aspects of the biology and pathogenesis of bacterial, parasitic and viral infections of the gut, including their diagnosis and clinical management.

Helminthologia publishes original peer-reviewed research, with the aim of contributing to the advancement of human and veterinary medicine as well as agronomy. It has been published by the Parasitological Institute of SAS since 1959; it is the only journal in Central Europe offering individual and collaborative research in veterinary medicine and natural science from international experts. The journal takes a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to current issues in helminthology, and is committed to rapid dissemination of the latest research to the academic community. Helminthologia presents original articles, review articles, and research notes on various aspects of pure and applied helminthology, particularly on helminth- and endo-parasites in human and animal hosts, and plant parasites of environmental, health and veterinary importance, along with taxonomic contributions. Coverage includes parasitology, immunology, taxonomy, morphology, phytonematology and ecology.

Infection and Immunity® publishes research related to infections caused by pathogenic bacteria, fungi, and parasites; molecular mechanisms of pathogenicity; interactions of virulence factors with host cells; innate and adaptive immunity to infection; development of vaccines against nonviral pathogens; and genomes of pathogenic bacteria. IAI also welcomes studies on the interaction of microbial communities with their host.

Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Infectious Diseases is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and clinical studies related to all aspects of infectious diseases.

The International Journal for Parasitology – Drugs and Drug Resistance publishes the results of original research in the area of anti-parasite drug identification, development and evaluation, and parasite drug resistance. The journal also covers research into natural products as anti-parasitic agents, and bioactive parasite products. Studies can be aimed at unicellular or multicellular parasites of human or veterinary importance.A list showing the types of articles that are considered is included below. The International Journal for Parasitology: Parasites and Wildlife (IJP-PAW) publishes the results of original research on parasites of all wildlife, invertebrate and vertebrate. This includes free-ranging, wild populations, as well as captive wildlife, semi-domesticated species (e.g. reindeer) and farmed populations of recently domesticated or wild-captured species (e.g. cultured fishes). Articles on all aspects of wildlife parasitology are welcomed including taxonomy, biodiversity and distribution, ecology and epidemiology, population biology and host-parasite relationships. The impact of parasites on the health and conservation of wildlife is seen as an important area covered by the journal especially the potential role of environmental factors, for example climate. Also important to the journal is 'one health' and the nature of interactions between wildlife, people and domestic animals, including disease emergence and zoonoses.The principal form of publication is the full-length article which contains substantial, original research. The journal also accepts brief reports that have similar subject scope as the full-length article, but do not merit a full-length publication. Iranian Journal of Parasitology (IJP) is the official publication of Iranian Society of Parasitology (ISP) launched in 2006. The society was inaugurated in 1994 and pursues the improvement of the knowledge on the parasites and parasitic diseases, exchange of scientific knowledge with foreign societies, publicity activities, and consultation on the parasitic diseases, and intimate relationship among society members. IJP is supported and published by Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Health Services and appears quarterly.
