For the purposes of TOCL, the field of computational logic consists of all uses of logic in computer science. This area has a great tradition in computer science. Several researchers who earned the ACM Turing award have also contributed to this field, namely Edgar Codd (relational database systems), Stephen Cook (complexity of logical theories), Edsger W. Dijkstra, Robert W. Floyd, Tony Hoare, Amir Pnueli, and Dana Scott (program logics, program derivation and verification, programming languages semantics), Robin Milner (interactive theorem proving, concurrency calculi, and functional programming), and John McCarthy (functional programming and logics in AI).

ACM Transactions on Speech and Language Processing (TSLP) focuses on practical areas of the design, development, and evaluation of speech- and text-processing systems along with their associated theory. Topics within TSLP's scope include: natural language understanding, generation, and parsing; dialog management; machine translation; document summarization; question answering; detection and tracking of entities, relationships, topics, and novelty; language modeling for machine translation and speech; speech prosody; audio indexing; spoken document retrieval; and machine learning and pattern analysis applied to the above

Advances in Computational Mathematics aims to publish high quality, accessible and original articles at the forefront of applied mathematics, with the potential for impact across the sciences. The journal places a particular emphasis on numerical methods, modeling, and simulation.

Advances in Fuzzy Systems is an international journal which aims to provide a forum for original research articles in the theory and applications of fuzzy subsets and systems. Algorithms (ISSN 1999-4893; CODEN: ALGOCH) is an open access journal of computer science, theory, methods and interdisciplinary applications, data and information systems, software engineering, artificial intelligence, automation and control systems. It publishes reviews, regular research papers and short communications. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. There are, in addition, unique features of this journal:, , manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed, electronic files or software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material, we also accept manuscripts communicating to a broader audience with regard to research projects financed with public funds, copies of source codes might be deposited.

The purpose of the journal is to provide a forum for the publication of high quality research and tutorial papers in computational mathematics. In addition to the traditional issues and problems in numerical analysis, the journal also publishes papers describing relevant applications in such fields as physics, fluid dynamics, engineering and other branches of applied science with a computational mathematics component. The journal strives to be flexible in the type of papers it publishes and their format. Equally desirable are:(i) Full papers, which should be complete and relatively self-contained original contributions with an introduction that can be understood by the broad computational mathematics community. Both rigorous and heuristic styles are acceptable. Of particular interest are papers about new areas of research, in which other than strictly mathematical arguments may be important in establishing a basis for further developments.(ii) Tutorial review papers, covering some of the important issues in Numerical Mathematics, Scientific Computing and their Applications. The journal will occasionally publish contributions which are larger than the usual format for regular papers.(iii) Short notes, which present specific new results and techniques in a brief communication.The journal strives to provide authors with a refereed outlet for their work which is subject to the least possible publication delay.

BIT was started by Carl Erik Fröberg in 1961. The name is an acronym for 'Tidskrift för Informationsbehandling' read backwards. From the outset, a wide area of computer science and technology was covered, but since 1992 the focus has been on Numerical Mathematics.

The leading journal in its field, Bioinformatics publishes the highest quality scientific papers and review articles of interest to academic and industrial researchers. Its main focus is on new developments in genome bioinformatics and computational biology.
