Non-profit Journal: MIC is operated as a non-profit journal and the journal is to a large extent based on voluntary contributions from the editors and reviewers. Any income generated by the journal from author contributions and sponsors are only meant to cover the costs associated with running the journal. From 2009 the MIC articles are available for free download on the Internet, and MIC loses the income source from subscriptions. To compensate for this loss of income, MIC currently requires an author contribution of NOK 1000 per published article. Each author will receive a complimentary issue of the printed edition of MIC where the article appears. The publication fee will be adjusted annually to balance out the costs of running the journal.Review: Each submitted article will initially be reviewed by the editor and/or the editorial secretary. If the article passes the initial review, it will be reviewed in a second step by the closest discipline editor and two internationally recognised experts in the field. All reviews in MIC are anonymous and the journal strives to avoid any conflict of interest in the review process.

Modelling and Simulation in Engineering

ISSN: 1687-5591eISSN: 1687-5605
DOAJ Logo

Modelling and Simulation in Engineering aims at providing a forum for the discussion of formalisms, methodologies and simulation tools that are intended to support the new, broader interpretation of Engineering. Competitive pressures of Global Economy have had a profound effect on the manufacturing in Europe, Japan and the USA with much of the production being outsourced. In this context the traditional interpretation of engineering profession linked to the actual manufacturing needs to be broadened to include the integration of outsourced components and the consideration of logistic, economical and human factors in the design of engineering products and services.Modelling and Simulation in Engineering intends to report leading-edge scientific contributions from mathematics, computer science, various sub-disciplines of engineering, management, psychology and cross-cultural communication, all of which focus on the modelling and simulation of human-centred engineering systems.Subject areas of Modelling and Simulation in Engineering include (but are not limited to):Mathematical formalisms of system modelling AnalyticalStochasticFuzzyGranularSet-membershipSimulation methodologies and tools Continuous simulationDiscrete and combined simulationStochastic simulationsGame and fuzzy game theoryFinite automataSimulation modellingOptimisation, verification and testingAgent-based simulationKnowledge and culture mining/processing Computation with information described in NLOntologies and knowledge modellingModel morphismsNL discourse analysisComplex systems modelling Qualitative modellingMulti-resolution modelling and simulationModelling abstractionsNumerical methods, algorithms and simulationsComputational Intelligence Neural networksFuzzy logicEvolutionary techniquesSoft computing for human interactionAmbient intelligence and ubiquitous computingSymbolic processingSimulation Visualisation Visualisation algorithmsVirtual and augmented realityVirtual prototypingTools and systems for visualisationFrontiers in HCMS Computational and physical limitationsApplications Interoperability of systems and applicationsCase studies and best practicesSocio-technical simulation (logistics, transportation, etc.).

Molecular Simulation

ISSN: 0892-7022eISSN: 1029-0435

An international, multidisciplinary, academic journalMolecular Simulation covers all aspects of research related to, or of importance to, molecular modelling and simulation (including informatics, theoretical and experimental work).Molecular Simulation exists to bring together the most significant papers concerned with applications of simulation methods, and original contributions to the development of simulation methodology from biology and biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials and nanomaterials, medicine, physics and information science. The aim is to provide a forum in which cross fertilization between application areas, methodologies, disciplines, as well as academic and industrial researchers can take place and new developments can be encouraged.Molecular Simulation is of interest to all researchers using or developing simulation methods (for example those based on statistical mechanics) and to those experimentalists, theorists and information scientists who wish to use simulation data or address a simulation audience. All published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two expert referees.DisclaimerTaylor & Francis makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the "Content") contained in its publications. Multiscale Modeling and Simulation: A SIAM Interdisciplinary Journal

ISSN: 1540-3459eISSN: 1540-3467

Centered around multiscale phenomena, Multiscale Modeling and Simulation (MMS) is an interdisciplinary journal focusing on the fundamental modeling and computational principles underlying various multiscale methods. By its nature, multiscale modeling is highly interdisciplinary, with developments occurring independently across fields. A broad range of scientific and engineering problems involve multiple scales. Traditional monoscale approaches have proven to be inadequate, even with the largest supercomputers, because of the range of scales and the prohibitively large number of variables involved. Thus, there is a growing need to develop systematic modeling and simulation approaches for multiscale problems. MMS will provide a single broad, authoritative source for results in this area. MMS bridges the growing gap in communication between mathematics, chemistry, physics, engineering, computer science, environmental science, and more.
