Logical Methods in Computer Science

ISSN: 1860-5974
DOAJ Logo

Logical Methods in Computer Science is a fully refereed, open access, free, electronic journal. It welcomes papers on theoretical and practical areas in computer science involving logical methods, taken in a broad sense; some particular areas within its scope are listed below. Papers are refereed in the traditional way, with two or more referees per paper. Copyright is retained by the author.Full-text access to all papers is freely available. No registration or subscription is required, and a free email notification service is available.Papers can be submitted electronically either as ps-files or as pdf-files. On acceptance, authors are asked to provide a source tex file as specified in the Information for Authors. Even though the Journal is divided into volumes for convenience, papers are published on the internet as soon as they are accepted for publication. The goal is to have a fast turnaround of about nine months from submission to publication.Logical Methods in Computer Science is an overlay journal of the Computing Research Repository (CoRR): see arXiv.org.A disk archive and a hardcopy of the contents of Logical Methods in Computer Science is maintained by the Department of Theoretical Computer Science at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany, and also by a large number of mirror sites around the world.

Mathematical Programming Computation

ISSN: 1867-2949eISSN: 1867-2957

Mathematical Programming Computation (MPC) publishes original research articles covering computational issues in mathematical programming. Articles report on innovative software, comparative tests, modeling environments, libraries of data, and/or applications. A main feature of the journal is the inclusion of accompanying software and data with submitted manuscripts. The journal's review process includes the evaluation and testing of the accompanying software. Where possible, the review will aim for verification of reported computational results. Topics covered in MPC include linear programming, convex optimization, nonlinear optimization, stochastic optimization, robust optimization, integer programming, combinatorial optimization, global optimization, network algorithms, and modeling languages.

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation

ISSN: 0378-4754

The aim of the journal is to provide an international forum for the dissemination of up-to-date information in the fields of the mathematics and computers, in particular (but not exclusively) as they apply to the dynamics of systems, their simulation and scientific computation in general. Published material ranges from short, concise research papers to more general tutorial articles.Mathematics and Computers in Simulation, published monthly, is the official organ of IMACS, the International Association for Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (Formerly AICA). This Association, founded in 1955 and legally incorporated in 1956 is a member of FIACC (the Five International Associations Coordinating Committee), together with IFIP, IFAV, IFORS and IMEKO.Topics covered by the journal include mathematical tools in:•The foundations of systems modelling•Numerical analysis and the development of algorithms for simulationThey also include considerations about computer hardware for simulation and about special software and compilers. The journal also publishes articles concerned with specific applications of modelling and simulation in science and engineering, with relevant applied mathematics, the general philosophy of systems simulation, and their impact on disciplinary and interdisciplinary research. The journal includes a Book Review section -- and a "News on IMACS" section that contains a Calendar of future Conferences/Events and other information about the Association.

SIAM Review

ISSN: 0036-1445

The SIAM Review consists of five sections, all containing articles of broad interest. Survey and Review features papers with a deliberately integrative and up-to-date perspective on a major topic in applied or computational mathematics or scientific computing. Expository Research Papers contains research papers in applied mathematics and scientific computation that have appeal to a broad audience and feature a high quality of exposition. SIGEST highlights a recent paper from one of SIAM's eleven specialized research journals, chosen on the basis of exceptional interest to the entire SIAM community and revised and condensed as needed for greater accessibility. Education consists primarily of individual modules that are self-contained presentations of specific topics in applied mathematics, scientific computation, or their applications; each module provides the primary material needed to teach a given topic as well as supplementary material. The Book Reviews section contains a featured review that provides an overview of several books in a subject area. Shorter reviews of individual books are also included.
