Toxicology Research brings together established and emerging areas of toxicology in one journal. Combining chemical and biological studies, the journal aims to advance understanding in all areas of physiological toxicology through the publication of high quality research and review articles. Research which covers interfacial or emerging topics - such as computational and predictive toxicology - is particularly welcome.

Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology publishes original scientific research of relevance to animals or humans pertaining to the action of chemicals, drugs, or chemically-defined natural products.Regular articles address mechanistic approaches to physiological, pharmacologic, biochemical, cellular, or molecular understanding of toxicologic/pathologic lesions and to methods used to describe these responses. Safety Science articles address outstanding state-of-the-art preclinical and human translational characterization of drug and chemical safety employing cutting-edge science. Highly significant Regulatory Safety Science articles will also be considered in this category. Papers concerned with alternatives to the use of experimental animals are encouraged.Short articles report on high impact studies of broad interest to readers of TAAP that would benefit from rapid publication. These articles should contain no more than a combined total of four figures and tables. Authors should include in their cover letter the justification for consideration of their manuscript as a short article.TAAP also issues a standing call for outstanding Invited Review Articles. Toxicology & Industrial Health welcomes manuscripts dealingwith basic and applied research in the fields of toxicology, genetic and cellulartoxicology and risk assessment associated with hazardous wastes andgroundwater. The journal will accept and rapidly publish brief communicationsreporting on important research. It will publish several types of articlesincluding papers describing original research, reviews on subjects of contemporaryimportance to toxicologists and biochemical scientists; reports orproceedings, which will be published as supplements to issues of the journalat the expense of the organization that submits the proceedings and briefannouncements of scientific meetings or courses of interest to readers.

Toxicology in Vitro publishes original research papers and reviews on the application and use of in vitro systems for assessing or predicting the toxic effects of chemicals and elucidating their mechanisms of action. These in vitro techniques include utilizing cell or tissue cultures, isolated cells, tissue slices, subcellular fractions, transgenic cell cultures, and cells from transgenic organisms, as well as in silico modelling. The Journal will focus on investigations that involve the development and validation of new in vitro methods, e.g. for prediction of toxic effects based on traditional and in silico modelling; on the use of methods in high-throughput toxicology and pharmacology; elucidation of mechanisms of toxic action; the application of genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics in toxicology, as well as on comparative studies that characterise the relationship between in vitro and in vivo findings. The Journal strongly encourages the submission of manuscripts that focus on the development of in vitro methods, their practical applications and regulatory use (e.g. in the areas of food components cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and industrial chemicals). Toxicology in Vitro discourages papers that record reporting on toxicological effects from materials, such as plant extracts or herbal medicines, that have not been chemically characterized.NEW! Even though brief, the Short communication should represent a complete, coherent and self contained study. The quality of Short Communications is expected to be as good as that of full articles, and both full articles and Short communications will be refereed in an identical manner. The form is identical to that for a full article except that the report should not be divided into Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion. An abstract of not more than 75 words should be provided. The Short Communication may not be longer than five double-spaced typewritten pages (not including references, tables and figures) and should include not more than two tables of two figures or one of each.Letters to the Editor: These may be published if judged by the Editor to be of interest to the broad field of toxinology or of special significance to a smaller group of workers in a specialized field of toxinology. They should be headed `Letter to the Editor' which should be followed by a title for the communication. Names of authors and affiliations should be at the end of the letter.Announcements: Toxicon will only accept for publication announcements of great interest to toxinologists, such as notices of appropriate meetings and symposia and activities of the International Society of Toxinology.Reviews and mini-Reviews: Articles of interest to toxinologists which are published in journals other than Toxicon may be abstracted in the Reviews section of Toxicon. Toxin Reviews provides an international forum for publishing state-of-the-art reviews and guest-edited single topic special issues covering the multidisciplinary research in the area of toxins derived from animals, plants and microorganisms. Our aim is to publish reviews that are of broad interest and importance to the toxinology as well as other life science communities. Toxin Reviews aims to encourage scientists to highlight the contribution of toxins as research tools in deciphering molecular and cellular mechanisms, and as prototypes of therapeutic agents. Reviews should emphasize the role of toxins in enhancing our fundamental understanding of life sciences, protein chemistry, structural biology, pharmacology, clinical toxinology and evolution. Prominence will be given to reviews that propose new ideas or approaches and further the knowledge of toxinology.

Toxins (ISSN 2072-6651) is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal which provides an advanced forum for studies related to toxins and toxinology. It publishes reviews, regular research papers and short communications. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. There are, in addition, unique features of this journal: manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed electronic files or software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material we also accept manuscripts communicating to a broader audience with regard to research projects financed with public funds

Venoms and Toxins publishes up-to-date review articles, research articles, thematic issues, short communications, and case reports covering all aspects of toxins, venomous animals (e.g. scorpions, snakes, sea anemones, cone snails, worms, wasps and frogs) and their derivative products.

The journal is devoted to the many aspects of marine and non-marine toxins/molecules (and derivatives thereof) from animal venoms, including their structural characteristics, structure-function relationship, pharmacological and immunological properties, molecular engineering/drug design, biotechnological potential, and therapeutic value. The journal also covers all aspects of other types of toxins (including toxic substances of non-protein/peptide origin), such as plant/algae, viral and bacterial toxins.

World Mycotoxin Journal' is to receive an Impact Factor and will be included in the Thomson Reuters' 2010 Journal Citation Report that will be released mid-year 2011.
