Aims and Scope
The two journals Annales de l'Institut Henri Poincaré, physique théorique and Helvetica Physical Acta have merged into a single new journal under the name Annales Henri Poincaré - A Journal of Theoretical and Mathematical Physics edited jointly by the Institut Henri Poincaré and by the Swiss Physical Society.

The goal of the journal is to serve the international scientific community in theoretical and mathematical physics by collecting and publishing original research papers meeting the highest professional standards in the field. The emphasis will be on analytical theoretical and mathematical physics in a broad sense. The journal is organized into eighteen sections:- Algebraic Quantum Field Theory

chaos is a quarterly journal published by the American Institute of Physics and devoted to increasing the understanding of nonlinear phenomena and describing the manifestations in a manner comprehensible to researchers from a broad spectrum of disciplines.

The mission of Communications in Mathematical Physics is to offer a high forum for works which are motivated by the vision and the challenges of modern physics and which at the same time meet the highest mathematical standards.

Entropy, an international and interdisciplinary journal of entropy and information studies, publishes reviews, regular research papers and short notes. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish as much as possible their theoretical and experimental details. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. If there are computation and the experiment, the details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced.

In the past few years the fields of infinite dimensional analysis and quantum probability have undergone increasingly significant developments and have found many new applications, in particular, to classical probability and to different branches of physics. The number of first-class papers in these fields has grown at the same rate. This is currently the only journal which is devoted to these fields.It constitutes an essential and central point of reference for the large number of mathematicians, mathematical physicists and other scientists who have been drawn into these areas. Both fields have strong interdisciplinary nature, with deep connection to, for example, classical probability, stochastic analysis, mathematical physics, operator algebras, irreversibility, ergodic theory and dynamical systems, quantum groups, classical and quantum stochastic geometry, quantum chaos, Dirichlet forms, harmonic analysis, quantum measurement, quantum computer, etc. The journal reflects this interdisciplinarity and welcomes high quality papers in all such related fields, particularly those which reveal connections with the main fields of this journal.The principal objective of this journal is to provide an up-to-date overview of the state-of-the-art in its fields of competence.Special issues devoted to single topic of particular current interest will also be published in this journal.

Launched in 1987, this journal covers the most important aspects as well as the latest developments in Condensed Matter, Statistical, and High Tc Superconductivity. One unique feature of this journal is its review section which contains articles with permanent research value besides the state-of-the-art research work in the relevant subject areas.To ensure top quality, review articles are by invitation only and all research papers undergo stringent refereeing. The scope of this journal covers Computational Physics, Physical Computation and related subjects. IJMPC aims at publishing both review and research articles on the use of computers to advance knowledge in physical sciences and the use of physical analogies in computation. Topics covered include: algorithms; astrophysics; atomic, molecular and chemical physics; computational biophysics; computational fluid dynamics; computer and information science; condensed matter physics, materials science; data analysis and computation in experimental physics; electromagnetism; high energy physics; nuclear and plasma physics; environmental physics; physical computation including neural nets, cellular automata and complex systems; quantum chemistry; statistical physics; symbolic manipulation; etc.

The work of publishing houses like Freund Publishing house ltd, an Israel publishing house, is quite complicated. The editor chooses from the "manuscripts" submitted to the publishing house, previously published works, works published in other languages, or command works, works that fit the editorial line of its collections. After any corrections, it shall communicate the text to a printer in suitable technical characteristics of the book and the number of copies to print.The editor takes the bulk of the financial risks of publishing. The profits go mainly to the broadcaster and distributor of books, which are responsible, to canvass the booksellers and take their orders as well as routing the books to bookstores, to fill orders taken. These operations cost the publisher between 50 and 60% of turnover generated by the book. The rest of sales goes to the author (about 10% share of this figure much lower, around 6% for comic books, and can reach 20% or more for best sellers) and the publisher, who can pay, in addition to its employees (editorial assistants, press officers, charged with manufacture, designer, etc..), the entire work of the book (printers, proofreaders, freelance photographers, possibly librarians, etc.. ). The publisher who coordinates the course of the "book chain" and, often, which also establishes the financial plan incorporating the expected costs and expected gains, as in any business.

Journal of Mathematical Physics is published by the American Institute of Physics; content is published online daily, collected into monthly online and printed issues (12 issues per year). Its purpose is the publication of papers in mathematical physics–that is, the application of mathematics to problems in physics and the development of mathematical methods suitable for such applications and for the formulation of physical theories. The mathematics should be written in a manner that is understandable to theoretical physicists. Occasionally, reviews of mathematical subjects relevant to physics and special issues combining papers on a topic of current interest may be published.

The international Journal of Nonlinear Mathematical Physics is a mathematical journal devoted to the publication of research papers concerned with the description, solution, and applications of nonlinear problems in physics and mathematics. Subject Coverage Publishing 50 issues a year, Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical is a major journal of theoretical physics reporting research on the mathematical structures that describe fundamental processes of the physical world and on the analytical, computational and numerical methods for exploring these structures. Mathematical papers should be clearly motivated by actual or potential application to physical phenomena.

Research papers in the journal are published in one of the following six sections: Statistical physics: nonequilibrium systems, computational methods and modern equilibrium theory; Biological modelling; Nonlinear physics and waves; Mathematical physics; Quantum mechanics and quantum information theory and Field theory and string theory

Journal of Statistical Mechanics: Theory and Experiment (JSTAT) covers all aspects of statistical physics, including experimental work that impacts on the subject.

The Journal of Statistical Physics publishes original papers, review papers, and book reviews in all areas of statistical physics as well as in related fields concerned with collective phenomena in physical systems. The Journal is among the top 20% of all STM journals for the number of cites as listed in the Journals Citation Report.

The Journal of the Optical Society of America B (JOSA B) is a general optics research journal that complements JOSA A. It emphasizes research on the fundamentals of the interaction of radiation with matter such as quantum optics, nonlinear optics, and laser physics. It includes such topical areas as atom optics and cold atoms, integrated and fiber optics, metamaterials, nanophotonics, photonic crystals, photorefractive optics and holography, physics of optical materials, spectroscopy, THz optics, ultrafast phenomena, and other related subjects.
