The Journal of Technology Education publishes international, peer-reviewed, research articles related to the PK-12 curricular area of technology and engineering education (T&EE), and its teacher education. T&EE typically engages students in learning that is hands-on, involving problem-solving and design. T&EE is intended for all students regardless of their future occupation. While the focus is sometimes confused with educational technology or career and technical education, T&EE students learn about technologies ranging from material processing, energy, biotechnologies, and robotics, to electronics, transportation, construction, computer technologies, and communications with the goal of improving their technological literacy and engineering literacy.
The Journal of Transformative Education (JTD) is a peer-reviewed, scholarly journal focused on advancing the understanding, practice, and experience of transformative education. JTED offers articles that test, build on, and elaborate existing theoretical perspectives; demonstrate innovative and creative applications of the theory in practice; and explore the international and cross-cultural issues of the theory and practice of transformative learning.
The Journal of Veterinary Medical Education (JVME) is the peer-reviewed scholarly journal of the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC). As an internationally distributed journal, JVME provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, research, and discoveries about veterinary medical education. This exchange benefits veterinary faculty, students, and the veterinary profession as a whole by preparing veterinarians to better perform their professional activities and to meet the needs of society. The journal’s areas of focus include: best practices and educational methods in veterinary education; recruitment, training, and mentoring of students at all levels of education, including undergraduate, graduate, veterinary technology, and continuing education; clinical instruction and assessment; institutional policy; and other challenges and issues faced by veterinary educators domestically and internationally. Veterinary faculty of all countries are encouraged to participate as contributors, reviewers, and institutional representatives. JVME is available to faculty of AAVMC member institutions as a benefit of membership and is also available via individual subscription.
The Journal of Vocational Behavior publishes empirical and theoretical articles that expand knowledge of vocational behavior and career development across the life span. Research presented in the journal encompasses the general categories of career choice, implementation, and vocational adjustment and adaptation. Journal of Youth and Adolescence provides a single, high-level medium of communication for psychologists, psychiatrists, biologists, criminologists, educators, and professionals in many other allied disciplines who address the subject of youth and adolescence. The journal publishes papers based on experimental evidence and data, theoretical papers, and comprehensive review articles. The journal especially welcomes empirically rigorous papers that take policy implications seriously. Research need not have been designed to address policy needs, but manuscripts must address implications for the manner society formally (e.g., through laws, policies or regulations) or informally (e.g., through parents, peers, and social institutions) responds to the period of youth and adolescence.
The Journal of the Learning Sciences provides a multidisciplinary forum for the presentation of research on learning and education. The journal seeks to foster new ways of thinking about learning that will allow our understanding of cognition and social cognition to have impact in education. It publishes research articles that advance our understanding of learning in real-world situations and of promoting learning in such venues, including articles that report on the roles of technology can play in promoting deep and lasting learning. The Journal of the Learning Sciences promotes engaging and thoughtful participation in learning activities, and articles reporting on new methodologies that enable rigorous investigation of learning in real-world situations.
