Perspectives on Political Science publishes articles about political ideas and theories and encourages submissions from all disciplines that relate to the study of politics. Examples include essays on the state of the profession and on the application of social science concepts to the study of politics. Symposia are published from time to time on educational matters of interest to political scientists. Perspectives on Political Science also publishes two kinds of reviews: REVIEW ESSAYS8212; approximately 2,500 to 3,000 words8212;comparative overviews of appropriate literature on a signifcant theme; and BOOK REVIEWS8212;approximately 450 to 550 words8212;timely descriptions of recent publications in the social sciences. Perspectives on Political Science does not accept responsibility for views expressed in articles, reviews, and other contributions that appear in its pages. It provides opportunities for the publication of materials that may represent divergent ideas, judgments, and opinions.

Philosophy & Social Criticism is a fully peer reviewed international journal that publishes original research and review articles. It presents original theoretical contributions to the latest developments in social and political thought, emphasizing the contributions of continental scholarship as it affects international theoretical developments.

Policing & Society is widely acknowledged as the leading international academic journal specialising in the study of policing institutions and their practices. For forty years Policy and Politics has been a leading international and multidisciplinary journal in its field with a reputation for publishing peer-reviewed papers of the highest quality. It focuses upon public policy and adjacent subjects, such as politics and social policy. Its scope includes the political context and socioeconomic impacts of domestic, regional, cross-national and global policies. The journal publishes articles which stand at the cutting-edge of relevant debates by combining theoretical insight with empirical innovation. It also aims to publish analyses of recent social, political, economic and cultural developments which relate to the policy process, public sectors and social institutions. Policy and Politics aims to appeal to academics, policy-makers and practitioners.

With an interdisciplinary and international focus, Policy Sciences encourages a diversity of perspectives. The editors especially welcome conceptual and empirical innovation, together with the potential richness and insight of comparative orientation. The journal offers articles that examine the normative aspects of policy sciences; conceptual articles addressing concrete policy issues; articles on particularly controversial pieces of analysis; opposing perspectives, including critiques and rejoinders on articles already published, which open the journal to an exchange of views rather than restricting it to pure presentation; and special issues that analyze specific topics in depth. Policy Sciences favors, but does not publish exclusively, works that either explicitly or implicitly utilize the policy sciences framework. The primary focus of the Policy Studies Journal (PSJ) is the study of public policy. Published on behalf of the Policy Studies Organization and the American Political Science Association's Public Policy Section, PSJ publishes individually-submitted articles and symposia of exceptional quality by social scientists and other public policy researchers and leaders. The journal addresses a wide range of public policy issues at all levels of government, and welcomes a comparative approach. We accept a variety of manuscript types.

Policy and Society is a leading international journal that publishes original and innovative research addressing policy theory and practice at the local, national and international level. It seeks to explore the policy contexts that shape policy processes, the intersection between policy and politics, and the political, social, and economic manifestation of these on policy and society.The Journal welcomes submissions that deal with policy processes and contexts from a comparative and interdisciplinary perspective.The journal publishes themed issues, not individual papers. Issues consist of an introductory review article (approximately 6 - 8,000 words) and 6 - 8 articles (approximately 6,000 - 8,000 words). Each issue is normally overseen by a special guest editor. Polis is a refereed journal which was founded in 1977 to provide a forum for scholars specializing in Ancient Greek Political Thought. Originally the Newsletter of the Society for Greek Political Thought (UK), Polis has over the years evolved into a full-fledged academic journal that publishes material of interest to those who study ancient Greek political thought, whether they do so as classicists, ancient historians, philosophers, or political scientists . Polis maintains ties with the Society for Greek Political Thought and with its membership, but the journal welcomes submissions for peer-review from scholars with no affiliation to the Society .“Political thought” is not defined narrowly as political philosophy but to cover political thinking at all levels, and thus the study of political institutions and practices, history, and literature are all included. Polis also publishes articles on the reception of ancient political thought in Europe, America, or elsewhere.The journal speaks for no particular perspective or methodology and it is devoted to the publication of research papers, even though extensive literature reviews and critiques of contemporary research, review essays and book reviews are also included.Polis appears in two issues per annual volume (spring and fall). .
