Archaeology International

eISSN: 2048-4194
DOAJ Logo

Archaeology International, produced annually since 1997, combines news about UCL Institute of Archaeology activities with refereed articles and information about on-going projects, carried out by Institute staff and students, or those with honorary affiliation. Papers reflect the broad geographical, theoretical and methodological scope of research at the Institute, including the research of its three main Sections (World Archaeology, Archaeological Sciences, and Heritage Studies), and its extensive global fieldwork presence. A double issue in 2011 marked the Institute of Archaeology’s 75th anniversary year, and the journal, including early issues is now available online and fully open access.

London Review of Education

ISSN: 1474-8460eISSN: 1474-8479
DOAJ Logo

London Review of Education (LRE), an international peer-reviewed journal, aims to promote and disseminate high-quality analyses of important issues in contemporary education. As well as matters of public goals and policies, these issues include those of pedagogy, curriculum, organisation, resources, and institutional effectiveness. LRE wishes to report on these issues at all levels and in all types of education, and in national and transnational contexts. LRE wishes to show linkages between research and educational policy and practice, and to show how educational policy and practice are connected to other areas of social and economic policy.LRE especially welcomes review articles on educationally-related themes or topics of significance. Such articles might, for instance, survey policies and major initiatives and analyse and possibly critique their assumptions or key concepts. Such articles are welcome to have a polemical edge. All such articles should, though, of course, be rigorous in their explorations of issues.LRE encourages work from the perspectives of all the disciplines that contribute to the study of education. This work will demonstrate theoretical strength combined with policy, professional or operational insight.Peer Review Policy:All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two anonymous referees.Disclaimer for Scientific, Technical and Social Science publications:Taylor & Francis and the Institute of Education, University of London makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the Content ) contained in its publications. Papers from the Institute of Archaeology

eISSN: 2041-9015
DOAJ Logo

PIA is moving to a new publisher. The journal is still accepting submissions - please contact Chloe Ward.

Papers from the Institute of Archaeology (PIA) is a peer reviewed, open access journal that publishes research on all aspects of archaeology, museum studies, cultural heritage and conservation. We publish research papers and short reports. We also welcome reviews of conferences, exhibitions and books. We accept online submissions via the journal website. See the author guidelines for further information or contact the editorial team.

Run by doctoral students at the UCL Institute of Archaeology, the aim of PIA is to provide authors with experience in publishing articles early in their careers. We therefore place extra emphasis on the provision of peer review feedback and editorial assistance. We publish online as soon as articles are ready, so there is no delay in research being released and submissions can be sent throughout the year.

The journal is fully indexed, blind peer-reviewed and fully open access. The PIA would like to thank all of our peer reviewers and copy editors for their time and invaluable expertise.

Slovo

eISSN: 0954-6839

Slovo is a fully refereed, twice-yearly journal, edited and managed by postgraduates of the UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies. This journal aims to discuss and interpret Russian, Eurasian, Central and East European affairs, covering the fields of anthropology, economics, film, geography, history, international studies, linguistics, literature, media, politics and sociology. Slovo has presented postgraduates with what has in many cases been their first publishing opportunity. It is a refereed journal in which they have been able to present their ideas and research alongside that of members of staff. Fully managed by the postgraduate community, this has meant that students have from time to time refereed the work of their own teachers! From its humble beginnings (the first edition appeared as a slim volume in May 1988 and included contributions from staff members Julian Graffy, Geoffrey Hosking and George Schöpflin) Slovo has gone from strength to strength culminating in the presentation of a special edition following the first annual postgraduate conference, held biennially at SSEES.
